HOW WE STARTED

Serene Wellness Psychiatry emerged from a pressing need to extend the reach of mental health care in Maryland, particularly to individuals in rural and underserved areas where services are limited. Our practice represents a collective vision of compassionate professionals dedicated to dissolving the barriers that prevent access to quality psychiatric care across the state.

Vincent Renna is a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a deep passion for strengthening mental health across diverse communities and advocating for lifelong learning and growth. He has experience treating a wide range of mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, sleep disorders, and substance use disorders. With a background in treating all ages - children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric mental health - his journey in mental health has spanned various settings, including inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, telehealth, and crisis centers.

Raised in a countryside setting, Vincent understands the value of community and recognizes the unique challenges rural areas face in accessing quality healthcare. His upbringing instilled virtues of hard work, empathy, and the significance of family - principles he integrates into his practice. Away from his professional responsibilities, he enjoys spending time with family, embracing the tranquility of nature through hikes, and staying active to maintain his own mental and physical health.

Vincent's mission extends beyond the clinical setting. He is committed to connecting with people in rural communities and beyond, particularly those who might face barriers to accessing mental health services. Utilizing the convenience of telehealth, he strives to break down these barriers, offering support to those on the path towards mental wellness, regardless of their location.

It is his hope that you'll recognize the commitment and care he brings to his practice. In Vincent Renna's care, your mental health journey is valued and supported with every step towards healing and growth.
